I’ve retired and repurposed. As such, I’m giving away what I’ve learned over the course of my career. Let’s discuss that.

Living With Intention

What’s the endgame for you as far as what you give away?

Are you intentionally using social media, or speaking engagements, or coaching others, or charitable contributions?

Thus, is what you’re giving away being done by design?

Today’s Observation: I believe we’re most impactful when we’re intentional about our actions, then pair that intention with focus. proverbsforprofessionals.net

A Personal Reflection

Right now, my purpose – my WHY – is to give away what I’ve learned over the course of my career.

I do that giving away through my blog and LinkedIn posts.

In addition, I use my leadership skills in volunteer activities at church and in my community.

So, although I’m retired from a paid career, I stay engaged with life by choice – by living with intention.

Teach me to number my days so I can become wise hearted. Psalm 90.12 paraphrase  proverbsforprofessionals.net

The Precept

Now, in Ecclesiastes 1.13 Solomon shared the focus of all his professional development efforts, saying “…I gave by heart…”

In short, Solomon devoted his personal and professional growth to building a wise character.

Additionally, his “textbook” for that learning was the precepts that are universal and freely available to all of us.

Then, what he learned, he shared.

Turns out, his singular focus on sharing fundamental life precepts was incredibly impactful – for several thousand years!

Apply This Today!

Intentional living and using time wisely walk along together. We don’t have one without the other!

Our accumulated knowledge, in the form of experiential insights, is a significant resource that we can – and should – share freely with others.

Finally, a question: Are you intentional about giving away what you’ve learned up to this point in your life? Fact is, you don’t have to be an old geezer like me to do that!
