To a great extent, we influence our life outcomes by the choices we make. Let’s examine the process of choosing our life outcomes.

Choices and Consequences
Be honest. Agree with your mom! How so? By admitting that actions have consequences.
To do so, we must ditch the victim mindset. And, we must stop making excuses.
Fact is, our choices produce actions. In turn, those actions produce consequences. Some are short-term, while some consequences are long-term.
How Compounding Works
Here’s a harsh truth: we construct our future by the self we believe in, and the actions we take — each day!
As it turns out, those daily actions — some fairly insignificant — compound over time. The result is that our future self, and our life outcomes, reflect all of those daily choices and actions.
Those daily actions are grounded in deliberate, or careless, choices we make.
Moreover, those choices are a reflection of who we are. Thus, head and heart interact with each other.
When we change our mindset we made different choices, which in turn changes our life outcomes. proverbsforprofessionals.net
The Precept
In Ecclesiastes 2.9-11 Solomon reflects on wealth accumulation. He says “…whatever my eyes desired I kept not from them…”
He expresses the classic view of the wealthy — he had it all. But, to what end? In Verse 11 he concluded that “… all was emptiness…of spirit…”
He was as intentional about wealth accumulation as he was about learning to be wise. Those two are examples of choices in his life.
One consequence was that, late in life, his great wealth really didn’t mean much to him.
Apply This Today!
Hindsight is certainly valuable. It’s an indication that we’re reflecting on and learning from life.
Of greater value than hindsight is foresight. Our discernment and experiential insight enable us to clearly project how things are likely to turn out.
As such, foresight is a powerful tool for choosing our life outcomes!
