Proverbs 2.10 is about a wise heart. Thus, when I get to that point – what’s next? The verse suggests that growth can be deeply spiritual, thus more than I expected!

Wisdom drives character change that’s deeply spiritual. Proverbs 2.10 paraphrase

The Precept Explained

Now what?

What can I expect from a changed character and a deeply enjoyable spiritual life?

Well, that’s the question raised in Proverbs 2.10.

Actually, I receive the greatest value by pursuing personal and professional growth.

But, that growth should change my character. And, it impacts my soul, thus, my spiritual nature.

Character Growth

Personal and professional growth is a worthwhile goal. In fact, it’s life giving!

And, growth is certainly necessary for me as a leader.

Moreover, personal transformation is “into your heart” or character, as described in Proverbs 2.10. It brings expanded professional capabilities.

So, I have greater capacity to influence and take on more responsibility as a leader.

That said, can I stop here? Thus, can I absorb and apply these precepts without any spiritual impact in my life? Well, certainly I can!

Spiritual Growth

Professional growth is a given for a leader.

That said, I should build spiritual insight – “pleasant to your soul …” from Proverbs 2.10.

In so doing, I invest in that which is eternal for myself and for others! Hence, growth can be deeply spiritual.

As a result, that certainly changes the time perspective for investing in personal and professional growth!

Those with a poor character lack the discernment needed for good judgment. In contrast, a deep spiritual desire allows me to discern everything. Proverbs 28.5 paraphrase

Apply This Today!

I can have an interpersonal and organizational impact as a leader though professional growth.

As such, that growth transforms my character. Also, it changes my ability to make sound decisions.

More critical, I believe, is the lasting impact I can have, on myself and others, when I choose to grow through personal spiritual transformation.
