I become what I constantly think about! Hence, the precept in Proverbs 23.7.
What’s worse, my words may not reflect my true intentions. Thus, I may try to mask what’s really happening inside me.
Similarly, what someone says may hide their true intentions.
Which Spiral?
Most likely, you’ve heard about the impact of self-talk.
Actually, the stories we repeat to ourselves shape our ability to perform.
On one hand, I can visualize a way forward during a challenge and thus find ways to succeed.
Conversely, I talk down to myself, believe the negative self-talk, and dramatically reduce my ability to function successfully.
Fortunately or unfortunately, the choice is mine!
As such, the outcome affects my self-image and self-confidence. In turn, thoughts become behavior.
Truly, I become what I focus on!

Effective decisions and wise behavior begin with absorbing the universal precepts.
Therefore, I do what I think about. Likewise, I become the person who dominates my thought life.
So, if I want to develop personally and professionally, I must improve my thinking because thoughts drive behavior!
Practically, who I am, how I think, and how I behave are closely linked. Most simply, it’s just how a reflection reveals my appearance, as expressed in Proverbs 27.19.

Apply this Today!
First, I must exercise discernment and social awareness in order to recognize underlying motives.
Second, I must develop self-awareness to recognize how my dominant world view impacts my decisions.
Third, I must see the abundance and opportunities to grow that are in front of me because I become my dominant passion!
