When we are clear about our life purpose, it is much easier to answer “What’s important to me?” As such, purpose drives our priorities.
Living With Purpose
My daily schedule is like it is on purpose.
That schedule reflects what’s most critical to me.
I’m pursuing what I view as my divinely-given life purpose for this current stage of my life.
From Proverbs 11.5 we learn that being right with God, hence the quality of our spiritual life, guides us toward an understanding of our God-given life purpose. proverbsforprofessionals.net
What Purpose Looks Like
For now, I’m focused on sharing the precepts I’m learning from scripture, especially from the Book of Proverbs.
I pair that learning with my career experiences when I write these weekly blog posts and regular entries on LinkedIn.
When I know my life purpose, I am able to live with purpose – on purpose! proverbsforprofessionals.net
Precept-driven Growth
But, why precepts?
Because what I see around me is an epidemic of simple-mindedness, especially in the U.S.
People lack the ability to discern right from wrong. They believe anything and everything they are told. As such, they never ask “Can that really be true?”
Conversely, wisdom, as presented in Proverbs, is the cure for that shallowness as it demands we think critically, be discerning, and use good judgment.
When I know my purpose in life I can answer the question “What’s important to me?”
Apply This Today!
Actually, the depth of my spiritual life drives my ability to recognize and accomplish my God-given life purpose.
Moreover, that life purpose is revealed to me by God. And, He expects me to pursue my purpose by setting life priorities that conform to that life purpose!
Finally, a life of divine purpose enjoys good. Thus, the ultimate definition of a good life!
