I reach others by what I speak and through what I write. What my authentic self does is how I most deeply impact those around me.

This blog post contains my personal LinkedIn entries for October 12 through October 14, 2022.

Is That Really Important?

My schedule reflects what’s important to me at this stage of my life.

What’s unimportant are activities that draw me away from my life’s purpose.

We must be deliberate about our own personal and professional growth because no one else is going to prioritize that growth for us! proverbsforprofessionals.net

Today’s Observation: It’s more important to recognize what is and isn’t critical to accomplishing your life purpose. If it’s not critical – not a priority, then it’s easy to answer “Is that really important?”

The Precept: Proverbs 4.25 strongly encourages us to focus by looking straight ahead. Look ahead at what? At your life’s purpose! See Proverbs 4.18.

The Question: What criteria do you use to answer the “What’s Important?” question?

What My Authentic Self Does

1). My authentic self speaks from the heart. I share my voice, my unique messages, with others.

2). My authentic self shares from the overflow of life. Personal growth fuels what I have to give.

To attain the highest return for myself, and for those I influence, I must invest my time in those activities that are within the scope of my unique value proposition – what I do, for whom, and the results that follow! proverbsforprofessionals.net

Today’s Observation: I reach others by what I speak and through what I write. My authentic self is how I most deeply impact those around me.

The Precept: Proverbs 9.10 teaches that reverence is the basis for our ability to make sense of things.

The Question: What media outlets enable you to share your unique messages with others?

Introvert Tip: I’m Not Enough

Comparisons are problematic.

Mostly when we lack a sense of our own self-worth. Or, when we’re petty and envious.

As a young adult, and an introvert, I often compared myself to others. Always negative!

We are the most fulfilled personally, and our most impactful toward others, when we are most intentionally our authentic selves! proverbsforprofessionals.net

Today’s Observation: Find a point of inspiration for what you want to be like. For the best self you want to become. Let that positive comparison guide your personal and professional growth.

The Question: What practices help you sidestep negative comparisons?
