Our end-of-the-year reflection positions us for growth in the coming year. As such, what are you thinking, right now, about yourself?

The Importance of Our Mindset

Our mindset impacts the payoff from personal reflection.

Fact is, who we are – – right now – – as well as who we’re becoming, is largely a product of who we believe we are – – right now.

That self-image is the inner reality we live with every day.

Moreover, with an abundance mindset we’re positioned for dramatic personal growth. In turn, that self-belief enables us to give freely, by sharing ourself with others.

Proverbs 11.24-25 contrasts scattering/increasing with withholding/poverty. It says we receive back from life in proportion to our generosity. This precept pictures an abundance mindset at work in us! proverbsforprofessionals.net

Our Authentic Self

Truly, our mindset is the lens through which we interpret life events.

As such, that lens reveals how we view ourself. It’s important to be conscious of our authentic self. However, it’s more important to be totally comfortable with our authentic self.

Thus, our abundance mindset and positive self-image reinforce each other. Consequently, they fuel our self-confidence, enabling us to pursue our personal goals.

Our life story isn’t simply where we came from and who we became. Instead, our story can be how much, and in which ways, we’re growing – – right now! proverbsforprofessionals.net

Again, what are you thinking?

Our end-of-the-year reflection is unproductive if we dwell on failures or missed targets.

Conversely, that reflection becomes powerful when we acknowledge we’re not there – – YET.

Adding YET builds our self-image and strengthens our confidence. Additionally, using YET reveals an abundance mindset. Ultimately, changed thinking influences our life outcomes.

Apply This Today!

Is developing an abundance mindset easy to do? Well, it’s not easy for me! For some of us, being optimistic and positive is a work in progress!

Mindset and self-image are foundational. However, we must still do the necessary work, thus commit to growth.

End-of-the-year reflection must be intentional. It can be open and free-flowing as we remember what did and didn’t happen. Also, what did and didn’t work well. Intentionality means we identify what we learned. And then decide what we will do differently going forward.

Good intentions mean well, but our intentional actions, which are grounded in clear thinking, move us toward our YET!

A Question to Consider

What disciplines move your self-talk to the positive, to being supportive, to pursuing YET?
